Compliments of Lake View Cemetery Association

MAHENDRA G. PATEL, age 68, of North Ridgeville, OH, died on May 26, 2012, peacefully his home. He was born on March 17, 1944, in Tanzania and then as a child moved to India. He finally settled in Cleveland, OH, in 1974. He was a beloved and loving husband, of 38 years, to Jyoti Patel; dear father of Rachna Paul (Arun Paul) of San Francisco, CA and Jamie Bindra (Akhil Bindra) of Brecksville, OH; loving and dear grandfather of Arya and Amiya Bindra. Mahendra was an architect who had a passion for design and construction. He designed many buildings in the Cleveland area, including hospitals, office buildings, and residential housing. Along with his love of architecture, he enjoyed exercising, golfing, watching Cleveland sports teams, and travelling. He particularly enjoyed going for long walks with his loving wife, Jyoti. Mahendra was a loving father and husband, who raised his two daughters to embody all the values he held dearest-most of all compassion. He was calm, quiet, laid back, yet possessed a strength few others have. He was generous with all things, including his time. When spending time with Mahendra, he made each person feel as if they were the most important person in the room. He will always be remembered by those closest to him in a variety of ways. By his grand-daughters, as the man who always gave them hugs, kisses and a lollipop. By his son-in-laws, as a golfing buddy and someone who was always there to give advice, on everything from architecture, business, and even in matters of marriage to his daughters, who were his pride and joy. By his daughters, as someone who would support them in all their dreams and pursuits. And by his wife, Jyoti, as a man who gave her a lifetime of love and happiness. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution, in his name, to http://cholangiocarcinoma.org/donate or "The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation" 5526 West 13400 South #510, Salt Lake City, UT 84096.
