Eugene James Devlin

On July 13, 2017, Gene passed away peacefully at his home in Cinnaminson of 21 years. He is survived by his daughter, Alisa A. Devlin, M.D., of Baltimore MD; son, Noel C. Devlin, Esq., of Cinnaminson; loving partner and former wife, Linda M. Devlin (née Riegel); sister, Monica Bloesch (nee Devlin). Gene was born and raised in South Philadelphia before moving to New Jersey in 1966. Gene was a 1957 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School. From there, he spent a 41 year career in transportation with a spectrum of positions, begin-ning in maintenance repairing tabulation machines to serving as the General Manager for a 5 terminal region in a national trucking company. Gene enjoyed Celtic music, seeing the performing arts, animals, being a steadfast father and spending time with his many dearly loved family members. A Viewing will be held on Monday, July 17, from 7 to 9 P.M., along with a Service on Tuesday, July 18, at 10:30 A.M. at THE LANKENAU & VAN NEWENHIZEN FUNERAL HOME, 334 Chester Avenue, Moorestown. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contri-butions may be made to the Morris Animal Refuge, 1242 Lombard St., Phila., Pa 19147.
