Theresa M. Grab Giglio entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 5, 2017. Theresa was the beloved wife of Deacon Frank E. Giglio. They resided in Mount Laurel for more than 40 years. Theresa was born and raised in West Reading, Pa. She was the daughter of William P. Grab and Mary Schnabel Grab Kroener. Theresa was the loving sister of Richard and Donald Grab, Anne Louise Weigold (Karl), Celine Przydzial (Leonard); and loving sister-in-law of Theresa Smith and John Giglio (Anna Mae). At the age of 16, Theresa entered the 'Adorers of the Precious Blood of Christ' and left the Order in 1961. Theresa held a B.S. from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pa. and an M.S. from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Miss. She majored in chemistry, biology, and dietetics. In 1961, Theresa moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she taught high school. In 1966, she relocated to Philadelphia. In 1968, she met Frank and was married in 1970. Theresa secured employment at the Einstein Medical Center School of Nursing as an instructor of chemistry, biology and dietetics to student nurses. She was the yearbook advisor for more than 15 years, as well as, having responsibility for all social functions. During her 29 year tenure, she also instructed patients who were on dialysis for kidney disease the proper diet therapy. Concurrently with her position at E.M.C., she was employed as an instructor at La Salle University in the biology department for 18 years. Theresa developed the course in Dietetics for the University. For several years, at the recommendation of former students, she also taught part time at the Community College of Philadelphia. She was loved and respected by her many students. She was also hired to prepare and monitor meal plans for the Philadelphia Corporation on Aging. Theresa was active in liturgical ministries in the Catholic church. At Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorestown, she developed an Adult Education Ministry and after developing a Diocesan Evangelization Ministry, she directed it at O.L.G.C. and later in the parish of St. Isaac Jogues in Marlton. She spent a year in the 1990's training Evangelization Teams in various parishes. She taught religious education classes at O.L.G.C. for nine years and later at St. Isaac Jogues. Theresa and her husband, Deacon Frank, taught the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) for more than 25 years. Theresa was the first President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 1082 in Moorestown. For over 20 years, Theresa maintained a food pantry in her home and regularly provided food for the needy in Burlington County. She is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, as well as, many cherished friends.
