Gerard Schlindwein of Cinnaminson, NJ passed on May 15, 2017. He was 96. He was born in Riverside, and graduated from Palmyra High School, Class of 1940. He was a World War II U.S. Army Sergeant. He received a Silver Star with Oak Clusters and a Purple Heart. He was a Carpenter with Local No.1073. He loved NFL football and the New York Giants. He also loved nature, especially gardening both flowers and vegetables. He was the son of Martin and Catherine (McHugh) Schlindwein. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; and his daughter, Gerri Michaelis. He is survived by his sons, Paul and Larry; his daughters, Barbara, Patty, and Peggy; his grandchildren, Tim, Jackie, Ashley, Heather, Tom, John, Emily, and Abby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077 and on Friday, May 19, 2017 from and 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Fourth Street & Linden Avenue, Riverton, NJ 08077 immediately followed at 11:00 AM by his Liturgy of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
