The Life of Cheryl Ann Trahan

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Cheryl Anne Trahan, 58, who passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at her residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette.

Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church in Lafayette, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing "Amazing Grace", "Psalm 23", "Ave Maria", "Pie Jesu", and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman" for the services.

Left to cherish her memories include her parents, Dudley J. and Ruby Duhon Trahan; her brother-in-law, Anthony James "Tony" Houston; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Trahan Houston who passed away on February 13, 2014; her grandparents, Ernest and Edia Broussard Trahan, and Ernest and Edith Simon Duhon.

A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her life, Cheryl Anne Trahan graduated from Acadiana High School in 1973. She was retired from Schlumberger after working there for 23 years. She loved her K9s, was an avid reader, and loved working with computers. Cheryl Anne Trahan was a loving daughter, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

Pallbearers will be Cyrus J. Sellers, Kurt Duhon, James Trahan, Anthony "Tony" Houston, Eugene Garcia, and Glen Abrahamm.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 6:00 PM by Brady LeBlanc in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
