The Life of Elizabeth Houston

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Elizabeth Trahan Houston, 57, who died on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at her residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.

Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing "Amazing Grace", "23rd Palsm", "Pie Jesu", "One Bread, One Body", "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman" for the services.

Left to cherish her memories include her husband of 32 years, Anthony James "Tony" Houston; her parents, Dudley and Ruby Duhon Trahan; her sister, Cheryl Trahan; two sister-in-laws, Sharon Courville and her husband, Bob, and Betty Mouton and her husband, Melvin; and her brother-in-law, Bobby Houston and his wife, Debbie.

Elizabeth Trahan Houston was born and raised in Lafayette. She was a graduate of Acadiana High School in 1974. Her favorite hobby was the study of genealogy where she did research on her family''s ancestral history. She also loved to spend hours of the day tending to her garden. Elizabeth Trahan Houston was a loving wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
