The Life of Dorothy Mire
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers for Dorothy T. Mire, 88, who passed away on Monday January 27, 2014 at 2:30 am at her residence.
Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Pastor of The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dorothy, was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she was a Minute Clerk for the Clerk of Court in Lafayette Parish, for many years.
Dorothy, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late John Timmons and the former Agnes Cormier.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis M. Mire; her son, Jesse J. Mire; one granddaughter, Allysun Mire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Mire Sr., her son, Edward Mire, Jr., her sister Sable Timmons Landry and her brother, M.B. Timmons.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home Bertrand Drive on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 1:30 pm until time of service.
