Chaisson, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10:42 pm
at Regional Medical Center
Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, in Scott, LA will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Readers will be Jeremy Harson and Jamie H. Vickery.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Nola, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Clebert Gary and the former Alice Prevost.
Nola graduated from Rayne Catholic High School, she worked for the Lafayette Parish School System for many years having worked at Alice Boucher Elementary School. She had a strong devotion to the Nuns of the Carmelite Order in Lafayette, LA and a devotion to St. Pio. Nola was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, and a dedicated parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Joseph Chaisson and wife Patsy Pitt; her two daughters, Manda C. Harson and husband Michael, and Sandra C. Taylor and husband Doug; her grandchildren, Joey Chaisson and wife Brenda, Jeremy Harson and wife Christy, Jamie H. Vickery and husband Cosmos, Jacob Harson, Tara Taylor and Tatum Taylor; her great grandchildren, Aspyn Vickery, Koah Vickery, Palo Vickery, Ethan Harson and Tyler Harson; her sister, Naomi G. Comeaux of Rayne, LA; her brother-in-law Norman Faulk of Rayne, LA; her sister-in-law Yvonne Baer Gary of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of fifty seven years, Lloyd Thomas Chaisson; her sisters, Ella G. Landry, Edna G. Richard, Edmae Gary and Eva Gary; her brothers, Abby Gary & Claude Gary.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home Bertrand Drive on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 9:00 am until time of service. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be, Joey Chaisson, Jeremy Harson, Jacob Harson, Cosmos Vickery, Clemente'' Colomber, Doug Taylor and Micheal Harson.
