The Life of Stephen Kyle Howell
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at a 10:00
AM Catholic Service in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel
for Stephen Kyle Howell, 51, who died unexpectedly on Monday, January
20, 2014 at his residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend F. Hampton Davis, III Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Mike and David Perkins. Brian and Angie Sanford will provide the musical selections for the services. They will be "How Great Thou Art", "Psalm 23", "I Can Only Imagine" and "On Eagles'' Wings".
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Michele Perkins Howell of Lafayette, LA; one daughter, Stephanie Brooke Howell and her companion, David Kobetz of Lafayette, LA; one son, Warrant Officer Stephen Kyle Howell, USAR of Lafayette, LA; his mother, Susan Talmadge Kerns and her husband, Frank of Statesboro, GA; four brothers, Daniel Howell of Hernando, MS, Cameron Howell and Huston Howell of Charlotte, NC, and Spencer Howell of Los Angeles, CA; and the love of his world, his grandchild, Lincoln Brook Trumps.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Daniel Howell, Jr.
Stephen Kyle Howell was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 17, 1962. He was a graduate of the University of Auburn, where he earned his Bachelor''s Degree in mechanical engineering. Stephen was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for over 21 years. He was a dedicated employee and worked as a Deep Water Engineer and Field Service Manager for Baker Atlas for over 29 years. Stephen was an avid tennis player and jet skier. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Howell, Danny Howell, David Kobetz, Mike Perkins, David Perkins, Billy Welsh, Mike Edge and Bill Dunford.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE Location on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
