The Life of Shirley Rose Judice
New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Shirley Rose Judice, 87, on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Thomas Bamutaze officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 8, 2013, from 10:00 AM until services and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
A native of Lafayette and resident of New Iberia, Shirley passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013, at 10:10 AM in a New Iberia nursing facility. She served as a loving caretaker for her mother who was bedridden for the last 5 years of her mother’s life. She as a loving sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her brother, Retired Honorable Judge C. Raymond Judice of Houston, TX; her sister, Jeanette Judice Birchett of New Iberia and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene Judice and Latie Bertrand Judice; her sisters, Pearl French, Emmerite DeJean, Edna Cormier, Anna Lois Meyers, Sylvia D’Abadie and Gertrude Carroll and her brothers, Rene Judice, George Judice, Sr. and Ray Judice.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Meyers, Murphy Meyers, Jr., John Meyers, Steve Judice, George Allen Judice, Jr. and Greg Cenac.
Honorary pallbearers will be Retired Honorable Judge C. Raymond Judice, Bobby and Jane Andrews and Bettie and Rick Louviere.
The family would like to thank the Staff at New Iberia Manor South, Heart of Hospice, her loving caregivers, Terri Francis and Barbara Dominque, her lifelong friend Doris Rowan and especially her loving niece and caregiver, Bettie Louviere.
