The Life of Mary Alice Beattie
Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mary Alice Boss Beattie, 75, who passed away on November 9, 2013 at 12:00 am at her Lafayette residence.
Reverend Steve LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Beattie, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Earlis Boss and the former Electa LeBlanc.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald R. Beattie; two daughters, Kimberly J. Melancon of Lafayette, LA and Denise Melancon Sonnier and husband Steve of Lafayette; one son, Kenneth B. Melancon and wife Tara of Houston, TX; one grandson, Dane Michael Melancon; four step grandchildren, Lindsey Hebert, Ally Hebert Kelly, Carlie Hebert and Jessica Hebert; and one brother, Larry J. Boss and wife Eileen of Baton Rouge, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Monday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Tuesday from 8:00 am until the time of service.
The family would like to give special thanks to her Oncologists, Dr. Chancellor E. Donald and Dr. Paulette Blanchet, and also the staff at Heart of Hospice.
