The Life of Lelias Milligan

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mrs. James Craig Milligan, the former Lelias (Lee) Domingue, age 95, who died Friday, November 1, 2013. Interment will be in the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of Funeral Mass and will conduct the Funeral Service. Survivors include one son, Andy Louis Milligan and his wife Monique; four grandchildren, Stephanie Landry (Joshua Landry), Allen Milligan, Joshua Milligan and Rachel Milligan; one step grandchild, Kacie Christensen. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Craig Milligan; her parents Phillip Domingue and Edna Billeaud Domingue; two brothers, John Domingue and his wife Katherine Domingue and Forrest Domingue and his wife Lorena Domingue. Mrs. Milligan was a 1943 nursing graduate and a certified anesthetist in 1953 at the Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans. She was a member of St. Edmond’s Ladies Alter Society, Catholic Daughters of America, and Third Order of Mount Carmel. She was also a Lifetime Member of the Petroleum Club of Lafayette and belonged to Laureate Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority. Pallbearers will be Allen Milligan, Joshua Milligan, Daniel Domingue, Allen Domingue, Joshua Landry and James Chaisson. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 8 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Milligan''s name may be made to Magnolia Estates Nursing Home for their Activities Department.
