The Life of Beulah Sullivan
Funeral Services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Beulah McElhenny Sullivan, 92, who passed away on September 27, 2013 at 8:15 pm at her residence.
Reverend Michael Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Beulah, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Ray McElhenny and the former Lill Nix.
She is survived by three daughters, Sally Ann King of Dallas, TX, Patricia S. Stiefer and husband Stacey of Rohnert Park, CA and Nancy Judith Sullivan of Walnut Creek, CA; one son, Maurice J. Sullivan M.D. of Lafayette, LA; three grandchildren, Sarah Owen, Benjamin Owen and David Atkinson; two great grandchildren, Reese and Ryan Atkinson; one sister, Sarah Dyches of Hilda, SC; and her "adopted" son, Gerald Laurich and his children, her "adopted" grandchildren, Jeremy and Emily Laurich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, F.B. King Sullivan; one brother, Ray R. McElhenny.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be David Atkinson, Gerald Laurich, Jeremy Laurich, Ross Richard, Mike Veillon and Benjamin Owen.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her neighbor, Tammy Veillon, her housekeeper, Charlotte Patin and her groundskeeper, Michael Isaac, for helping Mrs. Sullivan through her later years.
