The Life of Raymond Bessmertny
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27, 2013 at 10 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Raymond Bessmertny, 57, who passed away on September 22, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Father Brian Taylor, pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Survivors include his fiancée Stefanie Cleveland of Lafayette; his daughter Rhiannon Bessmertny of Gulfbreeze, FL; his mother Raye Casey of Lafayette, and his brother Michel Bessmertny of Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boris Bessmertny.
Raymond was a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Broussard since 1983. He served in the United States Navy, and was an electrical engineer by trade.
The family requests that visitation be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 2-8 pm, and resume Friday morning at 8 am until time of service.
