The Life of Lucy Ruth Comeaux
Funeral Services will be held at a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. Pius X Catholic Church for Lucy Ruth Menard Comeaux, 83, who passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 12:50 am at her residence.
Reverend Steve LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lucy, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Lauve J. Menard, Sr. and the former Diana Marie Breaux.
Lucy was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Lucy worked at Guaranty Bank and retired after thirty-seven years. She was the first lady to be promoted to Vice President.
She is survived by her son Mark E. Comeaux and his wife Kim; her grandchildren, Ashley C. Denais, and her husband Justin and Austin P. Comeaux; her sisters, Jeanette M. Dugas and her husband David, JoAnn M. Speyrer and her husband Huey; her brother, Donald Menard and his wife Kathryn Meyers Menard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 64 years Hugh P. Comeaux; her brothers, Robert “Bobby” Menard, Davis “Boze” Menard, and Jay Menard.
The family requests that visitation be held at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 8:30 am until the time of service.
The family would like to thank all of the care givers involved in her loving care, especially Bernice Angelle.
