The Life of Kody James Romero
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Kody James Romero, 21, who passed away on December 29, 2010 at 12:15PM at East Jefferson General Hospital.
Reverend Kenneth J. Domingue, Pastor of St. Leo the Great, will conduct the funeral services.
Mr. Romero, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of Lee Roy Joseph Romero of Youngsville, Louisiana and the former Flo Anna Breaux of Maurice, Louisiana. He was a member of St. Jules Church.
He is survived by parents, Lee Roy Joseph Romero and Flo Anna Romero of Lafayette; one sister, Diana Schroeder of Houston, TX; five brothers, Kenneth Romero of Youngsville and wife Becky, who is also Kody''s Godmother, Dwayne Romero, Brian Romero, Lee Romero, and Rusty Romero all of Lafayette. He is also survived by his grandparents, Nolan and Mary Boudreaux of Robeline, LA; and his biological mother, Amanda Guillory Chestnut; and his five half brothers and sisters, Joseph Metford, Brittany, Ronnie Blade, Bailey and Brandon Chestnut.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm in Lafayette.
Pallbearers will be Lee Romero, Joshua Romero, Kenneth Romero, Jr., Cordell Boudreaux, Tyler Newkirk, and Mark Broussard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Romero and Joseph Settler.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
