The Life of Joseph Murphy Joyner

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in Lafayette Memorial Park for Joseph Murphy Joyner, 83, who passed away on August 12, 2013 at 11:30 am at his residence. Reverend Mark B. Benge, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mr. Joyner, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Henry Joyner and the former Josephine Murphy. Joseph was a United States Army Veteran and employed by the City of Lafayette as a mechanic. He is survived by one brother, Henry Mercer Joyner, Jr; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Tessa J. Bounds. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
