The Life of Joseph Murphy Joyner
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in Lafayette Memorial Park for Joseph Murphy Joyner, 83, who passed away on August 12, 2013 at 11:30 am at his residence.
Reverend Mark B. Benge, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Joyner, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Henry Joyner and the former Josephine Murphy. Joseph was a United States Army Veteran and employed by the City of Lafayette as a mechanic.
He is survived by one brother, Henry Mercer Joyner, Jr; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Tessa J. Bounds.
