The Life of Jeanette C Broussard
Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 29, 2013 in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers for Jeannette Cormier Broussard, 79, who passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 1:30 am at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge, LA.
Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jeannette, a resident of Breaux Bridge, LA was the daughter of the late Aubin Cormier and Edith Hebert Cormier.
She was a graduate of Lafayette High School class of 1951, she attended Spencer Business College. She then started her career in the banking industry working at First National Bank of Lafayette for over thirty years. After her retirement she belonged to the FNB Retirees Luncheon. Also, she began to sell Mary Kay Cosmetics for many years. She loved going to the Casino, bird watching, and going to cookouts. Her two cats Mama Cat and Rat who stayed by her side after her beloved husband Pete passed away in 2008.
She is survived by her daughter Elaine Broussard Benoit and her husband George; her son, Carl J. Broussard and his fiancee Michelle Latiolais; her two step grandchildren, Keith and Kent Benoit; her brother, Wilton John Cormier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clemens "Pete" Broussard; her daughter, Deborah Ann Broussard; and her brothers, Leroy and Gussie Cormier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home 1011 Bertrand Dr. Lafayette, LA on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 28, 2013 in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Monday, July 29, 2013 from 8:00 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Carl J. Broussard, George R. Benoit, Wayne Miller, Billy and Jimmy Bertrand and Mike Castille. Honorary Pallbearer will be Wilton John Cormier and Stuart Moss.
