The Life of Beatrice Duhon

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013, at a 10:00 AM Catholic Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Beatrice Ducharme Duhon, 89, who died on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island, Louisiana will conduct the funeral services. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing "Here I Am Lord," "Pie Jesus," "Amazing Grace," and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman" for the services. Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Ann Huval and her husband Malcolm, and Deborah Schoelenz; one son, Robert Lewis Duhon and his wife Kathryn; one brother, Wilfred Lassinge; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claby "Lefty" Duhon; her parents, Joseph and Theresa Ducharme; and her sister, Irene Baudoin. A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her life, Beatrice Ducharme Duhon was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Pallbearers will be Mike Duhon, Malcolm Huval II, Joey Lynch, Kevin Craig, Randal Meaux, and Cameron Meaux. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
