The Life of Doris Judice

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at a 2:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Doris Grossie Judice, 79, who passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Reverend Harold Trahan, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Emily Judice and Heather Alston Wehking. Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Edwin Judice; three daughters, Denise Judice Alston and her husband Hoyt, Diane Judice Bienvenu and her husband Morris and Connie Judice Menard and her husband Robert; one son, Ricky Judice; nine grandchildren, Casey Bienvenu, Dustin Bienvenu, Andrew Judice, Jordan Judice, Emily Judice, Heather Alston Wehking and her husband Evan, Ryan Alston, Nathan Alston and Michael Menard; one great grandson, Grayson Wehking; three sisters, Hazel Mhire, Mildred Patin and Beverly Lasseigne; and one brother, Thomas Grossie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lillian Cormier Grossie; one sister, Ruby Arceneaux; one brother, Andrew Grossie; and one grandson, Brett Bienvenu. A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Doris Judice went to school in Judice, was employed by SLEMCO and later babysat in her home. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lafayette and enjoyed sewing, baking and cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Judice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Andrew Judice, Jordan Judice, Ryan Alston, Nathan Alston, Casey Bienvenu and Dustin Bienvenu. Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Menard. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed on Monday by Bonnie Judice and Charlotte Taylor at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
