The Life of Frances Lewis
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Frances Lewis, 87, who passed away on February 21, 2012 at 11:50 am at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend Steve Younger will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Sidney James Russell of Cleveland, Mississippi and the former Lessie Davis of Cleveland, Mississippi. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing and her pet birds. She was a retired hairdresser and LPN.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Lewis of Lafayette, LA; two sons, Jim Creel and wife Susan of Hammond, LA, and Robert E. Lewis and wife, Denise of Shreveport, LA; ten grandchildren, Sidney Creel, Triche Saucier, Anna Elledge, Richard W. Lewis, Melanie Hotard, Christopher J. Lewis, Robert L. Lewis, Amy Robinson, Christopher O. Naquin, and Lauren Naquin as well as eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Lewis, and one son, Richard Lewis, III.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
