The Life of Delphia June Payne
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Delphia "June" Payne, 83, who passed away on May 22, 2013 at 12:45 am at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend Tom Lambert will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Payne, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Benson Anderson and the former Hildred Ward.
She is survived by one son, Raymond Payne of Lafayette, LA; ten grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two sisters, Katherine A. Fuesling of Houston, TX and Hannah Margarette Whitwell of Ada, OK; one brother, John F. Anderson of New Iberia, LA; and one daughter in law, Linda Vincent Payne of Milton, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul "Duke" Payne; two sons, Ben Davis Payne, Sr. and Tommy Ray Payne; and one daughter Jenny Payne Dupuis.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Ben Payne, Jr., Loren "Butch" Fuesling, Chad Thevis, Hunter Veronie, John Goad, III and Gilly Cabe''Maury.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Parkinson''s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York, 10018.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
