The Life of Earline Choplin

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery for Earline Choplin, 77, who passed away on May 12, 2013 at 9:45 am at Camelot Nursing Home. Reverend Weldon Moak, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Broussard will conduct the graveside services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Choplin, a resident of Broussard, was the daughter of the late Edmond Laperouse and the former Inez Johnson. She is survived by four daughters, Charlene Choplin of Broussard, LA, Tina Byle and husband Craig of Broussard, LA, Denise Retting of Lafayette, LA and Susie Richard of Lafayette, LA; one son, Glenn Choplin of Lafayette, LA; four grandchildren, Robin Morgan, Mary Ann Schroyer, Madelyn Richard and Kaili Choplin; one great grandson, Jase Choplin; five sisters, Mazel Derouen, Mabel Montet, Joann Amy, Diane Laperouse Menard and Linda Hulin; one brother, James Laperouse; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Choplin, her parents, one granddaughter, Andrea Choplin; four sisters, and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the family. The family wished to extend a special thanks to the staff at Heart of Hospice and Camelot of Broussard, for the loving care that was given to them during their mother’s illness.
