The Life of Una Judice
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Una Verret Judice, 90, who passed away on May 15, 2013 at 11:54 am at her residence.
Reverend Chris Blanchard, Pastor of Covenant United Methodist Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Judice, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Luclide Verret and the former Julie Roger. She was a native of Avery Island, LA, and worked at Heritage Manor North Nursing Home as an RN for 20 years. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was our Rock, with tremendous love of God and family. Known for her quick dry wit and giving heart, Granny will be so deeply missed. The family would like to give special thanks to Amedysis Home Health and Amedysis Hospice and their staff for their loving care of our mother during her illness.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie Doyle and husband James Darius Doyle of Lafayette, LA, Donna Robin of Lafayette, LA, and Nina White of Lafayette, LA; one son, Donald Judice, Jr. of Lafayette, LA; ten grandchildren, Kimberly Racca, Sharon Horton, Kale Berard, Seth Judice, Heather Armentor, Jasmine Corpuz, Ryan, Tammi, Jesse and Donnie Judice; great grandchildren; Gage, Chase, and Cole Horton, Brittany Benoit, Julie, Megan and Jade Racca, Brittany and Bryken Berard, Simi Jay Armentor, and Juniper Corpuz; two great great grandchildren; and one brother, Unell Verret and his wife Nancy of New Iberia, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Judice, Sr., one sister, Nolia Mire; and two brothers, Lionell and Howard Verret.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Gage, Chase, Cole and Jessie Horton, Kale Berard, and Ryan Armentor.
