The Life of Lucille Breaux

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Lucille Blanchard Breaux, 100, who died on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro. Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette. Reverend Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Duson, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," "23rd Psalm," "Ave Maria," "Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace," and "How Great Thou Art" for the services. Mrs. Breaux was born in Abbeville, Louisiana and recently resided in Lafayette. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and tending her flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Mabel Breaux Miller and her husband Irving Miller; five grand children, Rayburn and his wife Cheryl Ernst; Linda and her husband Ronald Guilbeau, David and his wife Debbie Forestier, William and his wife Jenny Latiolais, and Richard Miller; eight grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Eric Breaux; her parents, Remick Blanchard and Eupheme Pellerin Blanchard; two brothers, Lucien and Luciuis Blanchard; one sister Lucia and her husband Ulyesse Cormier. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
