The Life of Shirley Rose Runyon
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 12 Noon, for Mrs. Shirley Rose Hamilton Runyon, age 90, who died on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Marcia Rose Runyon Lang of Vancouver, Canada, Gail Elyse Runyon of Beaumont, Texas, Leann Runyon Davis of South Carolina, Barbara Jean Runyon Fregia of Groves, Texas and Susie Runyon Forehand of Lafayette, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Warren Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty two years, Clinton Alfred "Santy" Runyon.
Mrs. Runyon was born on January 26, 1923 in Madison Wisconsin. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, dancer and artist. Mrs. Runyon stood by and worked with her husband, "Santy" for many years. Shirley and her husband, Santy had a family run business called Runyon Products where they manufactured the famous "Runyon" mouthpiece known all over the world. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
