The Life of Sylvia LeBlanc Halsell
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Sylvia LeBlanc Halsell, 77, who died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend David Baudoin, Associate Pastor of Crossroads Church will officiate the services.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Debbie Norman and her husband, Bryan of Maurice; one son, Dino LeBlanc and his wife, Kathy of Carencro; two brothers, Bobby Connolly and his wife, Flo of New York and Eugene Connolly and his wife, Ingrid of Houston, TX; one sister, Delores Preston and her husband, Bill of Ocala, FL; seven granddaughters, Wendy Broussard, Lori Drouet, Sonny Stelly, Daphney Maturin, Buffy LeBlanc, Kayla Rochon, and Rachel Champagne; one grandson, Ben Norman; and nineteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison J. LeBlanc; father, Jack Connolly and mother, Sylvia Sajeva Connolly; and one brother, Jackie Connolly.
Sylvia LeBlanc Halsell was born on February 24, 1935 in the Bronx, New York. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Halsell was a sales representative for Avon Cosmetics for many years. She loved cooking, shopping and traveling, especially going on cruises. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be Dane Rochon, Kyle Maturin, Casey Champagne, Larry Broussard, Dexter Drouet, and Heith Adams.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael LeBlanc.
A Rosary will be recited by Brady LeBlanc on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
