The Life of Paul Jospeh Dupuis

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Paul Joseph Dupuis, 87, who died on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Southwestern Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings, Louisiana surrounded by his family. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Gilbert J. Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Kelly Hoss and Lacie DeVille. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Cecile Theriot Dupuis; one daughter, Carolyn Virginia Dupuis Broussard; two sons, Paul Donnie Dupuis and Michael James Dupuis; five grandchildren, Jeneé Long, Michael Nike Dupuis, Michael Clint Broussard, Kelly Hoss and Lacy DeVille; six great grandchildren, Parker DeVille, Ava DeVille, Amelia DeVille, Jullianna Long, Michael Dupuis and Hadley Hoss; two sisters, Joan Ann Moulbert and Eliza Dupuis; and three brothers, Nathan, Russell and Jason Dupuis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Pat Dupuis and Eloise Chaffe Dupuis; and three brothers, Harvey, Richard and Alvin Dupuis. Paul Joseph Dupuis was born on June 1, 1925 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Dupuis was a member of the Kinghts of Columbus, St Vincent De Paul, and the St. Edmond Catholic Church Community. He worked for the Federal Highway Department for many years before his retirement. Mr. Dupuis was an avid gardener and loved carpentry work. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Pallbearers will be Carolyn Broussard, Paul Donnie Dupuis, Mike Dupuis, Clint Broussard, Nike Dupuis, Pat Moulbert and Michael Broussard. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
