The Life of Florence Foreman
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2005 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Catholic Church for Mrs. Florence Foreman, age 86, the former Florence Sonnier, who died Thursday, August 17, 2005 at 2:25 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Msgr. Richard von Phul Mouton, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the Funeral Services. Survivors include one daughter, Werdna F. Coe of Ocklawaha, Fl; one son, Robert Foreman and his wife, Faye T. Foreman of Lafayette, La; one daughter-in-law, Denise Foreman of Gonzalas, Tx; four sisters, Mazie Dejean, Dorothy Lafleur, Mae Mouret and Gladys Melancon, all of Opelousas, La; five grandchildren, Terri L. Foreman of Houston, Tx, Robert Foreman, Jr. and his wife, Laurie of Lafayette, La, John Nicholas Foreman of Anahuac, Tx, and Whitney Foreman and John Harris Foreman, Jr. both of Gonzalas, Tx and three great grandchildren, Gentry Foreman, Alexia Lott and Peyton Foreman of Lafayette, La. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Babe Foreman; one son, John Harris Foreman; parents, Oscar Sonnier and Melina Rider Sonnier; two sisters and one brother. A native of Opelousas and a resident of Lafayette for fifty three years, Mrs. Foreman was a active member in the St. Pius X Catholic Church Community. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Abdallas for thirty five years. Her passion was spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A rosary will be prayed Friday at 4:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday from 12 Noon until 9 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of the Funeral Mass. Pallbearers are Robert Foreman, Sr., Robert Foreman, Jr., John Nicholas Foreman, Joe Menard, Darrel Stoute and Bob Arnold.
