The Life of Ann Edmae Mier
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Ann Edmae Mier, 81, who passed away on December 24, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend Daniel Edwards, Pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God.
Ms. Mier, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Moise Roy of Cecilia, Louisiana and the former Louise Huval of Cecilia, Louisiana. She was a member of St. Jules Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed her weekly visits with her friends. Ann will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Michael, Thomas, Stephen, his wife Sherry, Jeffery, and her daughter Christine Lantier; her grandchildren, Kimberly Hammond, Thomas Ryan Mier, Michelle Vargas, Rachel Voitier, Lynzy Presley, Lauren Lantier and Danielle Frost; her nine great grandchildren; her sister, Eve Guidry and her husband Chester; her brother John Roy and his wife, Teddy, and her brother in law Rufus Mier, Jr. and his wife Dorothy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan D. Mier; her parents; her brother, Roussel Roy, and her grandson Coby Lantier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm. The visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 am in Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Thomas, Stephen, and Jeffery Mier, James Huval, and Errol Benoit.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
