The Life of Pearl Duhon
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Pearl Alleman Duhon, 96, who passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.
Father Keith Landry will officiate.
Pearl was born Monday, July 17, 1916 in Lafayette and was a lifetime resident of Acadiana. Pearl was a parishioner of St. John Cathedral in Lafayette.
Mrs. Duhon is survived by a son, Michael Duhon, Sr. and his wife, Alice of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Michael "Sonny" Duhon of Sunset, Todd Duhon and his wife Jody of Lafayette; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Anderson and Olivia Duhon of Lafayette, and nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lucien Pierre Duhon, father, Alfred Alleman, mother, Lilly Alleman, sister, Marion A. Bell, and three brothers, Earl, Oran and Roy Alleman.
Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and resumes Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sonny and Todd Duhon, great grandson, Tyler Anderson and nephews, Jason Alleman, Aaron Alleman and Doug Duhon. Honorary pallbearers will be her godsons, Earl Alleman, Jr. and Thomas Duhon.
The family wishes to thank the physicians and staff of Amelia Manor Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana for the compassionate care given to Pearl and her family.
