The Life of Betty Mary DeLacerda
Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mary Betty DeLacerda, 68, who passed away peacefully at her residence on November 26, 2012.
Reverend Ed Degeyter will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Entombment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. DeLacerda, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Oscar "June" Toups of Bayou Cane, Louisiana and the former Mayola Bergeron of Bayou Blue, Louisiana. Betty was a graduate of Terrebone High School, Class of 1966. She served as past president and current member of the Acadiana Women''''s Organization and was an avid landscape artist.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa DeLacerda and Kimberly Grossman; her son, Chuck DeLacerda; and six grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Delbert DeLacerda; her parents, Mayola Toups Bergeron and Oscar "June" Toups; her sister, Dorothy Toups Olivier, and her brothers, Melvin Toups, and Raymond Toups.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until time of services.
