The Life of Stefan Alfred Leonpacher
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at a 10:30 AM Service in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Stefan Alfred Leonpacher, age 51, who died on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at his residence in Lafayette.
Reverend William Gearheard will conduct the Funeral Service. Lectors will be Jenifer and Leslie Leonpacher. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Leonpacher, Andrew Leonpacher, Michael Leonpacher, Andre Doguet, Bradley Broussard, Jim Davis, Martin Wiewiorowski, Nicholas Wiewiorowski, and Bob Stansbury.
Survivors include one daughter, Anne Leonpacher, and two sons, Andrew Leonpacher and Michael Leonpacher, and their mother, Maria Leonpacher Breaux; his father, Alfred Bernhard Leonpacher, and his father's wife, Sandra Dronet Belaire Leonpacher; two sisters, Jenifer Leonpacher and Leslie Leonpacher, and brother-in-law Jim Davis.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Montgomery Leonpacher; his paternal grandparents, Lippi and Fanny Mendel Leonpacher; his maternal grandparents, Adlair and Leona Larson Montgomery.
Stefan was born on December 14, 1960, and was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. He was an LSU graduate, majored in Accounting, and received his CPA degree. Stefan worked at Peat Manwich and Mitchell, prior to running his family business, Southern Structures. In his later years, he managed Owens Manufacturing and Specialty Company. Stefan had an active spiritual life and a close relationship with God. He will be fondly remembered by his children, family, and friends.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service.
