The Life of Paul Allen Baudoin

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Paul Allen Baudoin, 74, who died on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Jane Miller Baudoin; three daughters, Cathy Butler and her husband Richard, Chris Albarado and Debbie Sharum and her husband Robert; two sons, John Baudoin and his wife Wende and Jason Baudoin and his wife Casey; thirteen grandchildren, Shane, Cristin, Kevin, Ryan, Courtney, Scotty, Julia, Mitchell, Sophie, Erin, David, Noah and Asher; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eno and Emedia Trahan Baudoin; and his half brother, Dudley Lapointe. A native of Maurice and a resident of Lafayette for 66 years, Paul graduated from Lafayette High School in 1955 and attended USL (now ULL). He worked in the oil and gas industry, working for Southern Flow Measurements for thirty-seven years until his retirement. Paul loved riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, camping, traveling with the Cruisin' Cajuns RV Club, and coached little league baseball for fifteen years. He was a jack of all trades, never having to call on anyone to fix things around the house. Paul loved his 1957 Ford T-Bird and his farm, where he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. Pallbearers will be Rickey Albarado, Robert Sharum, Tommy Duplantier, Harris Bodoin, Crip Guidry and Jason Baudoin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Hanisee, Farris Hernandez, Richard Butler, Dale Savoie, Ernest Miller and Chad Chaisson. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE Lafayette location on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed Monday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
