He was a veteran of military service and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Boudreaux was a member of the VFW Post and was also a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where he served on the Parish Council for St. Pius X Church for many years. Mr. Boudreaux owned and operated Tim's Food Store in the 1960's and worked as a plumber for Hubert Hebert & Sons for thirty five years. Mr. Boudreaux loved playing bouree, playing golf, especially with Father Harry Benefiel, and always had a Boudreaux-Thibodeaux joke to tell. He played the harmonica and accordion and enjoyed sharing stories of his past. Mr. Boudreaux had a great love for God, his Cajun Culture, the music, and particularly the dancing and the people. Some of his past times were spending time beautifying his yard and making fig preserves. He spent many hours trying to figure out different ways to keep the birds out of his fig trees. He got great pleasure in bar-b-queing, making gumbo, and cooking pork roast for his family and friends. No matter how tired he was, he was always willing to go help someone with a plumbing problem. He always said he had his own basketball team with six girls and no matter how many women were in his household, he was still "King" of his house. Mr. Boudreaux, especially found delight in playing pranks and teasing his sons-in-law. He was dubbed the "Little Mayor of Acadian Oaks" subdivision for getting things done that were in the best interest of the people in his neighborhood. He was always fighting for the small man. Mr. Boudreaux had a special relationship with every one of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Boudreaux understood how precious life was and lived every moment to the fullest, which made it very hard to accept when his body wouldn't let him do anymore. He will be deeply missed.
