The Life of Bobbie Jack Jarred

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 13, 2005 at a 2:00 PM Service in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery for Mr. B. J. "Red" Jarred, age 79, who died Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 4:04 PM in Lafayette General Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jo Jarred of Lafayette; two sons, Robert Alexander Jarred and his wife, Linda Paresi-Jarred and Danny Ray Northcutt and his wife, Rosemary Parisi, both of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Alexander Thomas Jarred, Nicholas Robert Jarred, Christopher Michael Jarred, Andrea Janell Northcutt Rousseau and Daniel Hart Northcutt and one brother, Harry Marc Jarred of Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Burton and Vivian Travis Jarred and one brother, Carl Travis Jarred. A native of Shreveport and a resident of Lafayette since 1959, Mr. Jarred was a veteran of military service, having served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Jarred was the owner of Lafayette Alarm Services. He was an avid golfer, basketball player, boxer and tennis player. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
