The Life of Rose Catherine Decoux
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM for Rose Catherine Boutin Decoux, age 84, who died on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, will conduct the graveside services.
Survivors include a daughter, Nona Decoux Powers and her husband, Kent; one son, Raymond Decoux Sr. and his companion, Pat; two grandchildren, Raymond Decoux Jr. and Lisa Christine Lehman Bertrand; a great grandchild, Jordan Christine Chadwick; three sisters, Anna Lee Young, Ruby Mallet and Patsy Savoie and one brother, Whitney Boutin, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty seven years, Robert J. "Bob" Decoux; her parents, Whitney Boutin, Sr. and the former Eunice Johnson; and one brother, Joseph Boutin.
Mrs. Decoux was born on February 13, 1928 and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana.
