The Life of Paul R Guilbeau
Funeral Services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 25, 2012 in the Delhomme Funeral Home for Paul R. Guilbeau, 82, who passed away on February 22, 2012 at 4:10 am at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Guilbeau, a resident of Scott, LA, was the son of the late Claude Guilbeau and the former Belzire Stutes. He was a veteran of the Airforce. Paul was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He retired from 35 years of work at South Central Bell.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vivian Guilbeau; his sons, Bryan Guilbeau and wife Mary Kay of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Clyde Guilbeau and wife Karen of Lafayette and Darrel Guilbeau of California; daughter, Paula Buccellato and husband Bill of Alabama; 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan, Ashton, Ashlee, Gabby and Aimee Guilbeau, William and Holli Buccellato, Desiree Silvey and Dan Widlowski; four great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria McDuffie of Lafayette and one brother, Donald Guilbeau of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Friday evening.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
