The Life of Tammye Lynn Begnaud
Funeral Services for Tammye Lynn Tomlinson Begnaud, 51, will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 30, 2012 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Brother Dave Rousse officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM and will resume on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 8:00AM until just prior to service time. Interment will follow services at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of El Dorado, AR and a longtime resident of Broussard, LA Miss Begnaud passed away at 4:55AM on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her daughter’s residence in Broussard, LA. Tammye was known for never having met a stranger and was known by “everyone in town”. She was involved with her children’s sports activities for over 15 years, served on the Board of BYYA Parks and Recreation and was known for helping others before helping herself. She was also a loving mother, “MiMi” and the “very best friend ever” who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Brandy Broussard and her husband, Dallas, Jr. of Broussard, LA; son, Lance Begnaud II also of Broussard, LA;granddaughters, Taylor Broussard and Lori Broussard both of Broussard, LA; grandson , Tyler Broussard of Broussard, LA; mother, Constance “Connie” Hawkins Tomlinson of Shreveport, LA; sister, Pamela Cuvillier and her husband, Red of Patterson, LA; brother, Jack L. Tomlinson, Jr. of Conway, AR; nephews, Robert Burns, Jr and his wife Christie of Zachary, LA, Comile Cuvillier and his wife, Lindsey of Patterson, LA and one uncle, Randal Tomlinson and his wife, Judy of Calion, AK.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack L. Tomlinson, Sr. and her grandparents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Comile Cuvillier, Robert Burns, Jr. , Neal Begnaud, Sr., Neal Begnaud, Jr. and Richard Baker.
Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Broussard.
In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to defray the cemetery expenses.
