The Life of Donald Thomas Boudreaux
Funeral Services will be held at a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church for Donald Thomas Boudreaux, 84, who passed away on January 18, 2012 at 5:45 am at his residence.
Reverend David Hebert, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Boudreaux, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Jerome Boudreaux of Scott, Louisiana and the former Hortense Butcher of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Donald enjoyed hunting duck, geese and deer as well as fishing. He also loved building boats and doing woodwork.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen S. Boudreaux; two daughters, Susan DeShazo and Karen Theriot both of Lafayette, LA; one son, Jack Boudreaux of Lafayette, LA; seven grandchildren, Monica Jones of Scott, LA, Sara Chimento of St. Augustine, FL, Frances Duhon of Cape Coral, FL, Pamela Cormier of Hattiesburg, MS, Jordan Boudreaux of Lafayette, LA, April Robin of Carencro, LA, Rachel Touchet of Lafayette, LA; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Boudreaux and Wayne Boudreaux both of Lafayette, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Charles J. Boudreaux and one grandson, Ian Thomas DeShazo.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott on Sunday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm and continue Monday from 8:00 am to time of services. A rosary will be recited at 4:00 pm Sunday evening in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Boudreaux, Larry Mendez, Doug Robin, Jordan Boudreaux, Jack Boudreaux and Charles J. Boudreaux, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Ian Thomas DeShazo, Mitchel Jones, Eric Duhon, Nate Duhon, Lloyd Duhon III, Wayne Boudreaux, II and Zane Boudreaux.
The family wishes to thank Heart of Hospice and the Oncology staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical center.
