The Life of Denise Richard
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Denise Calandra Richard, 43, who passed away on January 15, 2012 at 6:20 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond''s Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Denise Richard, a resident of Youngsville, LA, was the daughter of Joseph Anthony Calandra and the former GraceAnn Fiorello. Denise was a very loving mother, who always put her children first. She had very strong family values and loved all of her family members unconditionally. She had a positive outlook on life and could make the saddest person laugh at any given time. She was a very caring and giving person and made the world a better place.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Richard of Youngsville, LA; her mother, GraceAnn Calandra of Youngsville, LA; two daughters, Bryttani LeMeunier and husband Graham of Lafayette, LA and Candace Richard of St. Martinville, LA; two sons, Brennan Johnson of Youngsville, LA, and Brookes Richard of St. Martinville, LA; two grandchildren, Avarie LeMeunier of Lafayette and Ayden Mire of St. Martinville; one sister, Melanie Bardash and husband Mark of Vatican, LA; one brother, Joey Calandra and wife Ashley of Youngsville, LA; one aunt, Lynette Fiorello Boyd and her dearest cousin, Philip (PJ) Badali and her best friend, Yvette Comeaux Prejean as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Joseph A. Calandra, her grandmother, Sally Fiorello, her grandfather, Dominic Fiorello, her uncle, Chuck Fiorello.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Thursday from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be P.J. Badali, Phil Badali, Joey Calandra, Kyle Futch, Graham LeMeunier, Brookes Richard and Eddie Begnaud. Honorary pallbearer will be her son, Brennan Johnson.
The family has requested that donations be made in Mrs. Richard''s name to her account set up to help with her medical bills at Iberia Bank, Account number 12102050008, Routing number 265270413.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
