Mrs. de la Houssaye, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Joseph Melancon of Lafayette, Louisiana and the former Billie Davis of Breman, Georgia. She was born December 2, 1958, in Lafayette, Louisiana. She attended Lafayette High School and lived her entire life in Lafayette. Alisa was a successful business woman and was a member of the Realtor Association of Acadiana for over 30 years. During her career, she was the top listing agent at Oil City Realty every year of her employment and was the top selling agent there and at Coldwell Banker Pelican/Eraste Landry for most of her career.

Alisa enjoyed nothing more than entertaining, cooking for, and being surrounded by, her many friends and family. She also enjoyed taking vacations to the beach with her son Christian and her family and friends. She had a joy for life and strong faith that she loved to share with those who came in contact with her. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alisa was an especially devoted wife to Jim, mother to Christian, daughter to Billy and a great friend to all who knew her well.
