The Life of Henrietta Durio

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at a 10:00 AM Funeral Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Henrietta Miller Durio, 89, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2011 in Carencro. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island, will officiate the services. Lectors will be Kenny Durio and Michael Durio. Survivors include one son, Steven Durio and his wife, Sharon; and two grandchildren, Kenny Durio and his wife, Mary Britton Durio and Michael Durio. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick "Fred" Joseph Durio; her parents Charles Henry and Rose Domengeaux Miller; one son, Frederick "Rick" Joseph Durio; and one brother, Charles Henry Miller. A native of Cankton, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Durio was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was a devout Catholic who attended Mass and recited the Rosary regularly. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Annette Duhon and Beverly Bernard, for their kindness and gentle care given to Mrs. Durio during her time of need. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
