The Life of Milton Credeur

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 6, 2006 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at the Carmelite Monastery Chapel, 1250 Carmel Drive,Lafayette, Louisiana for Milton Credeur, age 70, who died, Friday, February 3, 2006 at 4:44 PM in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Gilbert J. Dutel, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the Funeral Services. Survivors include one sister, Rosa Melancon; his nieces, Kathy Fontenot, Susan Ardoin, June Angelle, Irene Clement, Lisa Farquhar, Angela Cloteaux and Nicole Boutin; his nephews, Mickey Richard, Scot Richard and David Boutin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Boutin Credeur; his parents, Elus J. and Alice Roger Credeur; three sisters, Lena Credeur, Lucille Credeur, Annabelle Richard and a brother, Alex Credeur.A native of Carencro and a resident of Scott, Mr. Credeur was a veteran of military service having served in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked in construction all of his life. Mr. Credeur''s career spanned with Bostic Concrete Company, Mayfair, Mike Baker Brick Company and lastly and most currently, he worked with Barry Concrete as a salesman and a dispatcher. Mr. Credeur was an avid hunter, especially duck hunting in Mexico and Gueydan and also dove hunting in Texas and Mexico.Although, he never had any children, he dearly loved his nieces and nephews, as if they were his very own children. Mr. Credeur was very involved with the Carmelite Monastery, where he was considered their godfather.A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 6:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Sunday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Monday from 8:00 AM until time of the Funeral Mass.Pallbearers are Mitchell Barry, Scot Richard, Randell Farquhar, Dalton Boutin, David Boutin and Clifford Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be John Guillory and Mickey Richard. Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette has been chosen to help with the funeral arrangements. 337-234-2311
