The Life of Peggy Joyce Bouren

Lafayette – Funeral Services for Mrs. Enoch “Charlie” Bouren, the former Peggy Bilyeu, 75, will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 3:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Ogle officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. A native of Tuscumbia, Missouri; and a resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Bouren passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 2:47AM at her residence. She was a loving mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Peggy was one of the founders of Trinity Presbyterian Church on Verot School Road, and had been married to her loving husband for 52 years. She enjoyed golf, bowling, video poker and avid animal lover. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Bouren and Peggy Kennedy; one son, Daniel E. Bouren; and four grandchildren, Eric and Charles Joseph Kennedy, and Nicholas and Joshua Breaux all of Lafayette; and two sisters, Linda Gabbard and Kitty Bilyeu of Jefferson City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch “Charlie” Bouren; and her parents, Ralph Adrian Bilyeu and Mabel Aslee Clark. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for being very compassionate and kind to Mrs. Peggy Bouren during her time of need.
