The Life of Clarence Belaire

Funeral services were held at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Clarence Belaire, 86, who passed away on Monday, September 25, 2006 at a local hospital. Interment took place at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette. Rev. John De Leeuw was Celebrant of the Mass and conducted the services. Mr. Belaire, the son of the late Albeire Belaire and the former Eleanor Guidry, was a native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Lafayette, La. He was a veteran of the military, having served in the Army during WWII. He loved baseball, shooting pool, camping and being around his family. Survivors include two step-daughters, Judy Boudreaux, and Jeanette Richard; one step-son, Joseph A. Trahan; one godchild, Janet Richard; numerous nieces and nephews; two sisters, Marie Laramore of Grove, TX and Jeanette Belaire Deville of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his parents and good friends, Nora and Joseph Trahan. Visiting hours were observed on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service in the funeral home on Bertrand. Pallbearers were Tommy Richard, Joseph Trahan, Bryan Richard, Troy Richard, Ronnie Richard and Craig Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearers were Patrick Richard, Jr., Dung Van Tran, Scotty Richard, Terry Stakes II and Tre’ Daigle. Personal condolences may be sent to the Belaire family at www.delhommefuneralhome.com.
