The Life of Louis Joseph Leglue

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Louis Joseph LeGlue, 58, who passed away Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend William Gearheard, Pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption Church will be Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. LeGlue, a native of New Orleans, was the son of the late Carroll LeGlue, Sr. of Bridge City, LA and Catherine Cannella LeGlue of White Castle, LA. He was a member of the National Insurance Underwriters Association, the Baton Rouge Association of Life Underwriters and a former member of the Rotary Club of Zachary. Mr. LeGlue graduated from West Jefferson High School in Harvey, LA in 1966. He received his LPN degree in 1973 from USL School of Nursing. He also attended the LSU (Eunice) Nursing Program and received a P.H.D. from the School of Psychology in Cambridge, England. He also attended the University of Houston Mediation in 2006.
Mr. LeGlue served in the U.S. Army in Fort Hood, Texas and West Point, New York as an Army Medic from 1969 until 1971.
Survivors include wife, Lucy Chipman LeGlue of Lafayette; mother, Catherine Cannella LeGlue of Bridge City, LA; mother-in-law, Anna Bourque Chipman of Lafayette; son, Todd J. LeGlue of Marrero, LA; brother, Carroll E. LeGlue, Jr. of Luling, LA; nieces, Tina M. LeGlue of Luling, LA, Dawn Chipman of Baton Rouge, LA and Sharon Hefley of Lafayette; nephews, Kevin Chipman of Baton Rouge, LA and Chad LeGlue of Bridge City, LA; sisters-in-law, Susan Chipman of Lafayette and Karen F. LeGlue of Luling, LA; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and father-in-law, George Chipman, Sr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Monday from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Todd J. LeGlue, Carroll E. LeGlue, Jr., Chad LeGlue, Bubba Bourque, Joey Dugas and Toby Landry.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
