The Life of Annette Marie Blanchet
Funeral services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 6, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church for Annette Blanchet, 72, who passed away on February 2, 2009 at 2:50 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Martin Borcherding, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Blanchet, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Alfred J. Walters, Sr. of Cecilia and the former Felecie Girouard of Broussard. Annette was a retired telephone operator with Bellsouth. After retirement, Annette served as a volunteer Pink Lady with Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Carroll J. Blanchet; two sisters, Sue Ann Dauphin and Clarisse Lacombe; three brothers, Jimmy, Roland and Richard Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Huey P. Walters, Clay J. Walters, Alfred Walters, Jr., Leonard Walters, William (Billy) Walters and Daniel P. Walters; and one infant sister, Hortense Walters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 pm at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Lacombe, Kyle Lacombe, Damon Lacombe, Charles Blanchet, Chris Blanchet and Riley Blanchet.
