The Life of Celia Marie Hebert

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jules Church in Lafayette, for Celia Landry Hebert, 87, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.Reverend Monsignor J. Douglas Courville, JCL, Pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.  Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "Here I Am Lord", and "Battle Hymn of the Republic" for the services. Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine H. Trappey of Houston, TX, Judith H. Dansdill of Lafayette and Cynthia H. Frioux and her husband Daniel of New Iberia;  one daughter-in-law, Trina P. Hebert of New Iberia;  six grandchildren, Angella Trappey, James Dansdill, Tina Derouen, Kenneth Decuire, Jr., Brent Frioux and Jason Frioux;  eight great grandchildren, Nicole and James Guidry, Jenee'' and Jacey Dansdill, Jessica and Justin Derouen, Kody Decuire and Blake Frioux;  one sister, Hazel L. Dore of Abbeville;  and two brothers, Rives Landry of Delcambre and U.L. "Louis" Landry of Erath.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy P. Hebert;  her parents, Eusa and Edna Hebert Landry;  and one son, Shawn R. Hebert.A native of Erath and a resident of Lafayette for 67 years, Celia was a member of St. Jules Catholic Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be dearly missed by family and friends.Pallbearers will be Daniel Frioux, Kenneth Decuire, Jr., Howard Derouen, James Dansdill, David Landry and James Guidry.Honorary Pallbearers will be U.L. "Louis" Landry, Rives Landry, Ned Guidroz, Brent Frioux and Jason Frioux.A Rosary was prayed Friday, March 7, 2008 at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
