The Life of Jane E DeRise
Private services will be held for Jane Ellen Thompson DeRise, 59, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at her home in Lafayette.She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Henry DeRise, Jr. of Lafayette; two daughtersConstance A. Notter and her husband, Nick of Tampa, Florida and Tara Harris and her husband, Brett of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her parents, Aymar and Myrtle Denais of Lafayette; and two grandchildren, Jacob Hathaway and Lauren Harris.She was preceeded in death by her birth father, E.L. Thompson, Jr.; and her in-laws, Henry and Hester DeRise, Sr.A native and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her life, Mrs. DeRise was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed collecting antiques.
